ChaDorea Robinson, professionally known as,“Coach Cha Cha,”  is the Dance Director at Dwight Rich School of the Arts. Mrs. Robinson is a community leader who inspires , motivates, and builds up others through movement. She is a dance educator, artistic project manager, choreographer, dancer, coach, movement motivator and an advocate for integration of the arts in school curriculum and behavioral workshops.

 Mrs. Robinson has been honored to impact the lives of hundreds of students and their families through her advocacy, passions, and joys of teaching dance. She has served in various positions in Michigan Dance Studios, Federal After School Initiatives, Summer Performing Arts Camps, Christian Dance Ministries and taught numerous master classes and workshops.  Robinson has coordinated, produced, directed, and choreographed 20 full-length dance concerts, 4  plays, and 14 various community art-related events. Her choreography has been represented in over 200 dance pieces that have been performed throughout the United States. Notably she has been awarded Best Show and Overall 1st Place, in Regional and National Choreography competitions.  Coach Cha Cha’s work has been nominated to the World Dance Championship in 2010, 2011, and 2014.

ChaDorea holds a Master of Business Administration with a cognate in Project Management from Cornerstone University (Grand Rapids, MI) and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State University (East Lansing, MI) with dance specialization coursework.  ChaDorea has trained at various dance studios including, Iibada Dance Company (Indianapolis, IN), Lawrence North High School (Indianapolis, IN), and Michigan State University (East Lansing, MI). She is an affiliate of the Arts Council of Greater Lansing, Michigan Dance Council, and the National Dance Education Organization. She serves as a Board member of City’s of Lansing’s Mayor’s Arts & Culture Commission (MAACC) on the Sub-Committee Arts Education Committee.
